One of the first steps in writing a lesson plan is to state the objective. As you may or may not believe, lesson planning is easily my least favorite aspect of teaching; especially when it comes to stating the objective. I've never been one to have a clear purpose for things (as Travis can attest). I'm more a proponent of spontaneity!
So what is the objective of my blog? Not sure. To follow trends and be hip? Not likely. Hip and being part of trends is something I fail miserably at, as well. To provide deep insight and life changing quips? Unlikely as well. While I am a bit narcissistic and personally find myself to be highly amusing, witty, and thoughtful, I also dabble with enough reality to know I'm really not important enough to accomplish that, either.
When I reflected on my personal desire to start a blog, it came down to sharing lessons more than creating them. I guess I don't need an objective then! HA! Throughout the course of a day, especially at school while I'm supposedly the teacher, I find myself being aware of how much I have yet to learn. After 25 years of being pretentious, the heavens are rejoicing to hear me admit I know less than I think I do.
All in all, that is the objective of this blog- to share lessons I am learning, specifically about God, grace, and grammar.
